A body was found in Lake Ahquabi south of Indianola Sunday, spotted floating approximately 20 yards from shore in the beach/swimming area. According to Iowa DNR staff, at approximately 10:15am DNR Parks staff, Warren County Sheriff’s Office deputies, and other medical personnel located the body and brought it ashore, which appears to be that of an adult male. The body was transported to the State Medical Examiner in Ankeny for an autopsy, however at this time foul play does not appear as a factor. Further information, including the identity of the individual or cause/manner of death, will be released once family has been notified and pending autopsy findings.
