With Melcher-Dallas’ summer teams having their games against Sigourney canceled due to weather, both teams will be back in action for road trips today.
The Saints’ baseball squad will go toe-to-toe with Bluegrass Conference foe Moravia. Melcher-Dallas lost their first game against Moravia back on May 28 11-1. The Saints are currently riding a four-game winning streak, with all wins coming against conference opponents. This game will decide who will have the tiebreaker in the Bluegrass Conference.
The Saints’ softball squad will match up with No. 5 in Class 1A Southeast Warren today. Melcher-Dallas has played the Warhawks twice and have been outscored 25-3. The first matchup was a 15-3 loss in the Southeast Warren Tournament May 29. The second game between these two teams was a 10-0 loss in the Coal Miners’ Classic Saturday.
