After much of the summer was spent in the loss column, the Pella softball team continued a late season burst with an 11-1 win over North Mahaska Tuesday.

Offense continued to drive the team’s improving performance, as the Lady Dutch have tallied 29 runs in the last three games.

Kylie Tauke, Katie Pollock, and Tori Van Vark finished with multiple hits, and Ava Curry drove in four runs and three runs batted in came from Kiki Riggen. Ella Corbin dominated the Warhawks in the circle, striking out nine in five innings.

Pella is up to 6-25 overall, and has now earned its longest winning streak since the beginning the 2019 summer with four wins in a row. The Lady Dutch will look to keep that going as Pella Christian comes to Pella Middle School this evening for a varsity doubleheader. Coverage begins at 5 p.m. on the KRLS3 stream.
