Pleasantville’s softball squad lost their second consecutive game as they were shut out by Clarke in a non-conference road matchup, 6-0.
The Trojans’ softball squad was doomed by mustering just three hits and surrendering seven errors to Clarke hitting. The three hits from Pleasantville came from Josie Sowers, Amber McKinney, and Sydni Septer. Faith Vanderhart gave up six runs on seven hits with five strikeouts in the loss. The loss drops Pleasantville to 15-19 on the season.
Both the softball and baseball teams will be back in action for a West Central Conference doubleheader with Ogden. The baseball doubleheader will begin at 5:00 PM, while the softball doubleheader will begin at 5:30 PM.
