The City of Knoxville has claimed victory in the #IowansUnite Community Pride Contest. As of the poll close Wednesday at 5:00 p.m., Knoxville held a 500-vote lead over second place Mount Pleasant. Pella also participated in the contest, and was in third place at poll close.
The win means Knoxville will receive the gift of a mural downtown from an Iowa artist. Stay tuned to KNIA/KRLS for more information as the poll results become official and plans for the mural unfold.
