Smoosh Pet Bakery & Spa recently opened just north of the Knoxville square. The idea for the business came to life when owners Amber and Adam Staton found it difficult to find services for their pets locally. Amber says one of the reasons they opened a business in Knoxville is the vibrant business community.

“We were leaving town a lot, and we love to shop local. We figured there had to be others with the same problem as us. We thought if we were ever going to open a business, it would be a pet business. The other thing that bolstered our confidence is that we feel Knoxville has a lot of new businesses coming to town, and it’s becoming a hotter spot to be. We really feel confident that this will be the place to grow our business.”

Smoosh Pet Bakery & Spa offers food, treats, and other pet products, as well as a self-service wash bay, among other services.
