Thursday, July 29th will be Indianola Parks and Rec Day at the Warren County Fair from 9am to noon, holding activities for both kids and families to enjoy. Fair Manager Jo Reynolds tells KNIA News included in the Parks and Rec activities will be a rooster crowing contest and competitions with cookies, there is also an activity that you can start practicing for now, a crazy hair competition.

“We’d like for you all to get your pigtails and ponytails ready, and to start growing out those braids, mullets, mohawks, and mustaches, things like that, and we’ll have judges going through those on who has the craziest. The fair will also have a special t-shirt made, we’ll freeze it, then the first person to unfreeze it and put it on will be the winner. We are really looking to have a lot of fun that morning.”

The KNIA Big Red Radio will be at the Warren County Fair through Sunday, August 1st, playing live music and reporting 4H results.
