Another postseason game turned into another walk-off for the Pella Christian softball team — this time in more comfortable fashion in a 10-0, six inning run-rule victory over Colfax Mingo heard live on 92.1 KRLS Friday afternoon.

In a game moved up due to the threat of rain, it took a few innings before the Eagles bats generated thunder, as they scored multiple runs in the 3rd, 4th, and 6th innings to end festivities early. Emma Eekhoff had a second walk-off hit of the playoffs, but instead of breaking a tie to celebrate as she did against East Marshall, this two-run single pushed the Eagles to the ten-run threshold.

Strong defense was key again for Pella Christian, as they stranded seven Tigerhawks on base. Bailey Roose tallied two hits and scored three runs, and Emri Agre and Natalie Harrill each racked up three hits, with Harrill driving in four.

POSTGAME INTERVIEW WITH SYDNEY NUNNIKHOVEN AND BAILEY ROOSE:

Pella Christian improves to 16-18 and heads to No. 4 Van Meter Monday in the 2A Regional Finals, with the winner advancing to the state tournament. Hear that game live on 92.1 KRLS.
