The Pella Christian baseball team opens the 2021 2A District playoffs at home this evening. A doubleheader at Eagle Lane will end with the home team and No. 3 seed hosting 6th seed Chariton.
Pella Christian is 9-21 overall, but 10 of those losses came in the first two weeks of the season, and their schedule has been loaded with some of the top teams in 3A and 4A. The Chargers finished the regular season at 4-21, but two of those came against Albia, who will play against Central Decatur prior to the nightcap with P.C.
Head Coach Braden Shull believes when his team has been at its best, they are playing quality defense and getting off to faster starts on the mound.
Coverage begins at 3:45 this afternoon on 92.1 KRLS.
