The second of two Pella School Board summer meetings signaled the transition to the new school year starting in August. Superintendent Greg Ebeling says approval of contracts takes place during the slower months to ensure adequate supplies are ready for the return of students. Ebeling says the board has several long term projects they are preparing for as well, including a potential bond issue in November to support the next round of needed facility upgrades. Ebeling says formalizing plans for that project and additional work on updating the Pella Community School District mission statement will begin in August for the school board.
