After announcing his retirement after coaching for 32 years, Melcher-Dallas softball coach Jim Crozier was nominated for the E. Wayne Cooley You Can Award.
The E. Wayne Cooley Award goes to a coach that shows elements of good character and completed a successful rejuvenation of a particular program. Crozier finished his career with over 600 wins in 900 games coached in 32 years at the helm. Crozier was nominated for the award by Jason Ogden, softball coach for Bluegrass Conference foe Moulton-Udell. Crozier explained the reason why he decided to retire.
Crozier will stay on as Melcher-Dallas Athletic Director, completing his final season with a 27-9 overall record, tying a school record for wins.
