The Indianola Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony Wednesday for Werner’s Elite Automotive, welcoming the business to the Indianola area. Owner Chris Werner tells KNIA News he specializes in repairing high end european and asian car models, and he feels there is a need here in Indianola, one that has been echoed by feedback from members of the community.

“When you look around at some of the vehicles here, a lot of them say they have to travel to Des Moines to get their service work done. It gets tiring and frustrating, and everyone i’ve talked to, including the parts stores, say it’s wonderful we have a shop in town that services those high end makes now.”

The chamber has now performed 10 ribbon cutting ceremonies for local businesses since early June, either welcoming a new business to the area, new owners of an existing business, or celebrating a business joining the chamber.
