Following the first summer of opening a new exhibit and renovated facility about Wyatt Earp in his boyhood home, Pella Historical Society and Museums are gearing up to celebrate with a special event in September.

Assistant Director of Pella Historical Society Jessi Vos says Wyatt Earp days are coming on September 24th and 25th to the Pella Historical Village. In lieu of the traditional fall festival, the two-day event will not only bring artisans back to the village, Vos says Saturday the 25th will be a full celebration of Wyatt Earp and his life in Pella and beyond.

Vos says descendants of Earp can contact Pella Historical Society to participate in the event and receive a shirt. A mustache contest and other community activities will also be part of the celebration.
