After winning the Bluegrass Conference Championship in 2020, Melcher-Dallas will look to repeat in the 2021 season, but there will be a huge obstacle to overcome.
The Saints’ gym has been deemed unfit to play and is still under renovation as the 2021-22 school year begins. As a result, Melcher-Dallas will share home matches with Southeast Warren. Melcher-Dallas’ season will begin with two road matches at Orient-Macksburg and Mormon Trail. The Saints’ first “home” match of the season will be against Moravia September 7. After that match, the Saints will have three road matches at Moulton-Udell, Murray, and Seymour.
September 18 and 28 will be Melcher-Dallas’ only “home” tournament and triangular of the season. After their home triangular there will be four matches at Twin Cedars, Southeast Warren, Moulton-Udell, and Wayne. The Bluegrass Conference Tournament will be at Diagonal this season.
Melcher-Dallas went 23-3 and won the Bluegrass Conference Tournament last season. Their first match of 2021 will be August 28 at Orient-Macksburg.
