COVID-19 cases remain on the rise in Marion County. Sixty three individuals were added to the case count locally over the past week. The Iowa Department of Public Health considers 144 residents as active and infectious. That total is at its highest mark since February. Nine Marion County residents are hospitalized with COVID-19. Vaccination rates have not increased daily locally, however, more than 14,000 residents are now fully vaccinated and an additional 1,072 individuals have received one dose of the two dose series.
