With leading rusher Sage Burns graduating, PCM’s football squad will look to ease Aidan Anderson back into the lineup.
Anderson was out for the rest of the season last year after he tore his ACL during the team’s 69-0 victory over Centerville. Up until that time, Anderson had 735 rushing yards and nine touchdowns in just four and a half games. Despite the optimism surrounding Anderson’s return, it may be a couple weeks before he returns to 100% game speed. Other running backs that will get carries this season include Gavin Fenton and Jake Eslinger with Burns and Jacob VanWinkle graduating.
Mustangs Quarterback August Stock will also be a threat to run in their spread offense, as he ran for 429 yards and nine touchdowns in 2020. PCM opens the season August 27 against Davis County.
