The Pella Hy-Vee made a donation to support the ongoing K-9 unit fundraiser for the Pella Police Department.

A $2,000 check was presented Monday afternoon, which Captain Paul Haase says amounts to a sizeable portion toward their $75,000 goal.

Haase is thankful for the recent community support toward the effort so far. A Run with your Pooch 5K will be held by the Pella Police Department on the morning of Saturday, August 28th, starting at Pella Christian High School.

Pre-registration will be $35, and $40 on day of the race and can be done by clicking here. All profits will be going towards the Pella Police Department K-9 Community Fundraiser Program.
