PCM’s Cross Country squad begins the season Monday at Knoxville, and they will open the season ranked No. 18 in Class 2A.

The Mustangs will be looking to have a mix of youth and seniority this season including upperclassmen Delaney Baird and Paige Steenhoek. However, what will be exciting for the 18th-ranked Mustangs will be the return of sophomore state qualifier Tiffany Koonce. With the season beginning Monday, PCM coach Eric Karr will look to have his team mentally ready for the season.

Karr also states that he is not going to have his team focus on other competition because of the uncertainty of what freshmen will be on the squads during the season. PCM opens the season with an invitational Monday at Knoxville.
