The Indianola City Council approved amendments to the Urban Unified Renewal Plan at their meeting Monday, regarding Tax Increment Financing areas the city uses to help development of houses and businesses. City Manager Ryan Waller tells KNIA News as part of the larger overall goal of the council the city is looking into the future for further development in the area.

“One of the things that we will be looking at in the future is the extension of Willowcrest Rd that would run east/west from the east part of town that connects some of the newer developments that we have to Highway 65/69. That’s an important sub-area that we would like to look at to help traffic flow and take the burden off of some other roadways.”
