A new mural going up near the downtown Indianola square is part of an effort from local groups and volunteer organizations to beautify Indianola with artwork and culture. Artist Megan Shipley said she was commissioned by Terry Tarleton to create a mural that will express important events and organizations that are important to the community such as the history of the town, Simpson College, the State of Iowa, and more.
