After weeks of practice and working out, the fall sports season gets its official start tonight for the Panthers sports teams…albeit with a slight adjustment to the schedule. The cross country squads were scheduled to have an Early Bird Invitational at Pine Knolls Country Club involving PCM and Pleasantville among other regional teams, but due to the predicted hot temperatures that event was cancelled. Volleyball will have a spotlight tonight as the Panthers travel to Carlisle for a quad meet with the host Wildcats, Oskaloosa, and Ottumwa. Coach Mollie Keitges tells KNIA/KRLS Sports, she has been simplifying things for this season and telling the girls to let the other team make a mistake.
First serve tonight is scheduled to get underway at 5:00 at Carlisle.
