Candidates for upcoming city council and school board elections can begin filing paperwork to appear on the ballot. The following Knoxville City Council seats will be open on the November 2nd general election:

Mayor: 2-year term

Council seat held by Dylan Morse: 4-year term
Council seat held by Megan Suhr: 4-year term

Council seat vacated by Justin Plum: remaining two years of term

Two seats are open on the Knoxville School Board, including the seats currently held by:

Marty Duffy
Larry Scott

The candidate filing period for each of these seats is today through September 16th.
