pleasantville-3

After dropping their season opener to Earlham Tuesday night, Pleasantville’s volleyball squad will look for their first win of the season in their first home match of the season against last year’s West Central Conference Champions, Des Moines Christian.

The Trojans were swept in three sets against Earlham, failing to register 20 points in any of their sets. Kendall Krichau led the way with eight kills, while Danika Park had six. Dating back to last season, Pleasantville has now lost seven straight matches, making each of their next matches very important.

Pleasantville played against Des Moines Christian just once in 2020, losing in straight sets 3-0. The Trojans had just six points in the first and third sets against the Lions. Pleasantville has not won a set or a match against Des Moines Christian since 2008, when they won two sets to one. The Trojans have lost their last eight matches against the Lions.

The match will be at Pleasantville High School and will begin at 6:30 PM.
