The Knights of Columbus in Pella are continuing their annual campaign for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities through Saturday. The organization is raising funds to support the Pella and Pella Christian Special Education Departments, Christian Opportunity Center, and Iowa Special Olympics. For the past couple of years, the Knights have also given to the Wonder Spelen Miracle Playground project, which organizers Mark Wiskus and Fred Kreykes say is nearing completion. A groundbreaking ceremony should happen in October, according to both, and Wonder Spelen is making a final push to finish fundraising.
