Students in the Indianola Community School District completed their first week of the 2021-22 school year yesterday, the first time in two years that is planned for a full schedule of in-person learning. Superintendent Art Sathoff tells KNIA News things have gone well so far.

“Things are off to a great start. We are hoping for a great year. Staff has been back for awhile, they’ve been in training on a new curriculum, and we had our district day last Friday where we bring everybody together and City State Bank provides breakfast and we have a speaker. Things are feeling very good. In the back of our minds there is still concern over COVID and the Delta variant and that kind of thing, but people are definitely happy to be back at it and doing a great job.”

Sathoff also said the district cannot thank the students, parents, family members, and district staff enough for their help to get through the last several years, and everyone is looking forward to a great school year.
