An 80th death due to COVID-19 was reported since the beginning of the outbreak in Marion County this past week. There are 180 cases considered active and infectious by the Iowa Department of Public Health, with four residents hospitalized locally due to the virus. Vaccination rates have not changed much locally, with just over 14,000 residents fully vaccinated, or 41% of the population in Marion County.
