The 23rd annual Campaign for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities in Pella wraps up today after a week at storefronts in the community and the 2nd “Pellathon” at the Pella Opera House Tuesday.

Over the past five years, the fundraiser has grown significantly in size to support the special education departments at Pella and Pella Christian, Wonder Spelen, and Iowa Special Olympics. A long-time recipient of donations from the campaign is Christian Opportunity Center, and Executive Director John Eilers is thankful for the widespread community support.

Donations for the campaign can be made through this evening at the Pella Hy-Vee, Fareway, and Walmart stores, and online here.
