The Cross Country runners from Twin Cedars will be busy this week with two meets scheduled. The Sabers will head to Albia on Monday while Pekin will be the destination on Thursday. The girls are led by Rylee Dunkin, who is ranked 6th in the latest Iowa Track and Field Coaches Association individual class 1A rankings. She placed 2nd at Collins/Maxwell on Thursday. Coach Teresa Davis says Dunkin is off to a good start and her hard work is paying off.

Davis:
“She’s definitely a leader and she pushes the rest of the team, our boys runner tries to keep up with her, so that’s the real motivator.”

The lone boys runner Andrew Freel had an opening time of 25:03 on Thursday.
