The Competine Trail extension project is complete, and the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate its opening on Wednesday, September 8th.
The trail is now two miles long, beginning at the Randy Wilson Track and ending at 5th Street. The project included construction of a safe crossing of Highway 14, and paving along Competine Creek.
The ribbon cutting will take place where the trail extension started on the Knoxville Hospital & Clinics grounds. It begins at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 8th, and is open to the public.
