A warrant has been served on a Knoxville woman who allegedly committed burglary at the VA campus. 41-year-old Lora Burnett is a suspect in an investigation which the Knoxville Police Department began January 21st. The department reports that a “large amount” of items were taken, and viewed photos from surveillance cameras in the investigation. She was interviewed May 19th, and admitted to going into the campus with another individual, but denied taking and selling items. Using DNA samples from evidence collected from the scene, officials determined that Burnett was involved in the crime.

The warrant was served Wednesday, and Burnett posted a $5,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for September 2nd.
