The Central volleyball team begins its 2021 season today, playing two matches in the Augustana Triangular. The Dutch are coming off a spring season in which they finished 4-4, all against conference opponents. Head Coach Jeanne Czipri hopes her team can get into its mid-season rhythm with strong performances today.

Returning all-conference libero Landry Luhring and honorable mention outside hitter Krissa Larson look to lead Central to big things in their senior seasons this fall. The Dutch take on the host Vikings at 4:00, and will play Cornell in the following match at 6:00 inside the Roy J. Carver Center in Rock Island, Ill.

Also today, the Central women’s golf team begins their season in Oskaloosa at the William Penn Invitational, starting at noon at the Edmundson Golf Course. The soccer teams will open their seasons by hosting a doubleheader. The women start the day by taking on Gustavus Adolphus at 2:00. The men cap off the day by taking on St. Olaf at 4:30 at the Central Soccer Field.
