A local business is making an impact for those without power due to the flooding and impact of Hurricane Ida. Executive Director of the Missouri Valley Line Training Facility in Indianola Robbie Foxen tells KNIA News trained line workers with Missouri Valley Line are currently working to help restore power safely outside of their normal operational area.

“Our apprentices cover a seven-state area, but not only do they work in our seven states, but when a hurricane like Ida hits, they travel down to Texas and Louisiana and those states that are impacted and without electricity to help rebuild those power lines and get the customers back on. I would say upwards of 200 to 300 apprentices are probably out of Missouri Valley’s jurisdiction right now traveling down to that area to help restore power.”
