The Twin Cedars Cross Country Squad will run today at the Pekin Invitational. The Sabers this fall are coached by Theresa Davis, who takes over for former Coach Trent Verwers, who resigned this summer to take a job in the Southeast Warren School District. Davis tells KNIA/KRLS Sports she has had a lot of learning to do but is enjoying the challenge and helping the runners improve.

Davis:
“I’m really excited to see how it is, and to learn more about it. I tried to do research and learn more about and try to be as good of a coach as I can be to these kids.”

Girls runner Rylee Dunkin, who is ranked 9th in the latest class 1A standings from the Iowa Track Coaches Association, has a 2nd place and in her most recent event at Albia on Tuesday was the overall winner.
