Indianola Kiwanis are hosting the 54th annual Pancake Day at the American Legion Hall one week from today, after the 2020 breakfast was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Susan Glick with Kiwanis tells KNIA News it will be great to have people back in-person for the event, which is their biggest fundraiser of the year and supports multiple programs.
“We support a lot of things. Our main emphasis is to benefit children and youth in our community, and outside of our community too. We support the Backpacks for Hunger Program, Indianola Dollars for Scholars, several clubs at the high school, sending kids to leadership camps to help them learn what they can do to help contribute back to the community, Blank Children’s Hospital, and The Zone after school program out at the middle school are just a few of what we support.”
The menu includes pancakes, sausages, coffee, and juice, and is available for dine-in or carry out at the East door. Adults cost $6, and children aged ten and under are $3. The breakfast will be held from 6:30 to 11:30am.
