The Knoxville Volleyball Squad will head to another Saturday meet as the Panthers will play in the Pella Christian Invitational. The Panthers will take on Albia, Pella Christian, and Grandview Christian. For the last few seasons, Coach Mollie Keitges has made it a goal to win some Saturday meets to give themselves a chance to get a better draw in the regional. That is not lost on players Charlee Heffron and Emma Dunkin.

Charlee: “The entire team wants to win Saturday tournaments, and push those bigger teams so we can get better and be ready for later in the season.”

Emma: “Saturday tournaments are a big thing for us where we get to see bigger teams and says that we can play with those 5A or 4A teams that we may see in the postseason.”

The Panthers went 3-2 last Saturday at the Bondurant-Farrar Invitational playing the host Blue Jays, a 4A school and Cedar Rapids Kennedy, a 5A school.
