Pella Historical Society and Museums are gearing up to celebrate the completion of a signature piece of the Forging our Future Campaign with a special event this week.

Assistant Director of Pella Historical Society Jessi Vos says Wyatt Earp days are coming on Friday and Saturday to the Pella Historical Village. In lieu of the traditional fall festival, the two-day event will not only bring artisans back to the village, Director Valerie Van Kooten says Saturday will have free admission and is scheduled to be a full celebration of Wyatt Earp and his life in Pella and beyond.

A mustache contest and other community activities will also be part of the celebration.
