The Knoxville Cross Country Squad will head to Eddyville for the South Central Conference Meet today. Both Panthers squads are coming off running at Moravia last week that saw many of the same SCC teams they will see today. Coaches Mikayla and Michael Splavec tell KNIA/KRLS Sports a good day would see both teams move up in the standings from the previous meet this season and how the conference finished last year.

Mikayla: “Ideally we want to do better and place better than last year, and run better times than last year.”
Michael: “We’re all focused on what we need to be doing. If you look at the Moravia meet from last week, we’re back a little bit where we should be, so we’re looking to maybe steal a championship from someone else.”

First race gets underway at 5:00. Meanwhile, the Knoxville Volleyball Squad will play at home for the first time in over two weeks when the Panthers host Chariton. Knoxville is coming off a 1-4 day at the Pella Invitational playing talented teams from across the state. Tonight’s match is set to begin at 7:15.
