The Simpson College speech and debate team swept the Riverfest Tournament hosted by Park University last weekend, winning in debate, speech, and the overall team sweepstakes championships for the first time in school history.

Simpson finished in first over the University of Central Missouri in overall team points 371-108 and debate 188-57, as well as taking down North Central College in speech points 183-93. The competition marked Simpson’s first in-person event since March 2020. To learn more, click below.
