A grand opening ceremony will be held after construction is complete on the core of a playground meant for kids of all ages and abilities. Wonder Spelen will open to the public on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Kiwanis Park in Pella on North Main Street. Mark Wiskus with Wonder Spelen says the entire group is thankful for the overwhelming community support behind the state-of-the-art playground and another special feature for Pella. The KNIA/KRLS Lil’ Big Red Radio will be there to assist with the grand opening. Parking and a shuttle will be available at Garden Chapel Funeral Home, and the Pella Kiwanis will have the poffertje stand on location.
