The Iowa High School Music Association State Marching Band Festival and Mid-Iowa Band Championship in Ankeny marked the end of the competitive season Saturday.

For the 45th consecutive year, the Pella Marching Dutch earned a Division I rating at the event, the highest possible. Knoxville, PCM, and Pella Christian also all earned Division I scores Saturday at Pella High School.

In the evening, the Marching Dutch had the highest overall score of all schools Class 1A-4A at the Mid-Iowa Band Championship in Ankeny. They also won best drumline and color guard in Class 3A.
