The Knoxville City Council met in regular session Monday. They approved the rezoning of 1510 W Pleasant Street to residential, as well as codes pertaining to minimum maintenance, vacant buildings and fire codes. View those here. They approved raising the mayor’s salary from $2,500 to $5,000, and approved the first consideration of an ordinance to raise the council member compensation from $12 per meeting to $50 per meeting. They approved the fire department’s request to purchase a new ambulance.
