The Pella Christian Volleyball team met their match Wednesday night in the Quarterfinals of the Class 2A Regional Tournament, as their season came to an end at the hands of Class 2A’s #1 ranked team Dike-New Hartford 25-5, 25-7, and 25-10.
The Wolverines proved dominant early, holding the Eagles to just five points in the opening set. The second set went much like the first as Dike-New Hartford had an answer for almost everything the Eagles threw at them to take the second set by 18. The Eagles tried to claw their way back into the match in the third set, tying the score at 5-5 and 7-7 early, but the Wolverines would go on to pull away from Pella Christian to take the set by 15.
Pella Christian finishes the season with an overall record of 19-20, and a 3-6 record in Little Hawkeye Conference play.
