With the second round of the Class 2A Playoffs coming up Friday night, PCM’s football squad gets ready for Williamsburg.
The Mustangs are coming off a hard-nosed 14-13 victory over Clarinda in the first round of the playoffs last Friday night. It is an up-and-down season for PCM, but they are currently experiencing a big up with a three-game winning streak over Chariton, Roland-Story, and Clarinda. With the matchup looming, Mustang tight end Jacob Eslinger says that it will come down to physicality and execution.
“It’s going to be who is the tougher team. We have been there before with West Marshall. They are a tough team and Williamsburg is just like West Marshall, they are a tough team. If we want to come out on top we are going to be the toughest. That’s what we are working on right now and I think we can do it.”
Eslinger and the Mustangs will square off with Williamsburg Friday night at 7:00 PM.
