Several local athletes will compete this Friday and Saturday at the 2021 State Cross Country meet.
The Pella boys qualified as a team for the 16th time in 17 seasons after winning last week’s district meet. Pella individuals Reagan Snieder and Autumn Blink earned at-large bids after placing in the Top 15. Knoxville Individual Seth Walraven qualified for the 2nd consecutive season. Class 3A athletes compete this Friday afternoon at Lakeside Golf Course in Fort Dodge.
In Class 1A, Pella Christian’s boys qualified as a team for the first time in 11 years. Eagles individuals Jocelyn Terpstra and Jaclyn Holmes earned at-large bids after 10 ten finishes at the qualifying meet last week. For the third year in a row, Twin Cedars athlete Rylee Dunkin qualified for the state meet. Class 1A runners compete Saturday afternoon at Lakeside Golf Course in Fort Dodge.
