Pleasantville’s volleyball squad had their best match of the season during their home tournament, which was against Colfax-Mingo.
This match was the second match of the tournament for Pleasantville, who knocked off Martensdale-St. Mary’s to begin the tournament. The Trojans won the first set with a narrow 23-22 victory. Colfax-Mingo took the second set 21-12, forcing the match into a third set. In a back-and-forth set that went down to the final point, Pleasantville came out on top 15-13 in the third set. Emily Roe stepped up in place of the injured Adi Adreon and had 17 assists and five kills. Danika Park led the team in kills with seven, while Londan Foley led the team in digs with eight.
Pleasantville finished the tournament 4-1, with their only loss coming to Southeast Warren. The Trojans would meet Colfax-Mingo in the first round of the playoffs at home, but ultimately fell three sets to two.
