The Indianola City Council approved several final administrative items regarding the Iowa Avenue Paving Project at their meeting Monday, including payment, plats, and the final schedule of assessments. City Manager Ryan Waller tells KNIA News the project is mostly complete, and is a big step for Indianola as they expand their industrial area with the help of a federal grant for $500,000.

“Basically what this is doing is closing out the payments that are due to the contractor. We do hold some money back, we do some inspections in the spring to make sure everything holds up as it should and if anything needs to be done we’ll have them come back and fix that. But this really just accepts the project as substantially completed.”
