While Rylee Dunkin took most of the spotlight for the Twin Cedars Cross Country Squad, her teammates all had solid seasons as well. Cheyanne Bruns consistently finished in the top five in most races, Jayden Weldon came out for cross country for the first time this season and according to Coach Theresa Davis cut nearly ten minutes off her season opening time, and the only boys runner, Andrew Freel continued to improve all season. Davis adds one goal is to have enough runners for boys and girls to score as a team and get teammates to run with Dunkin at the State Meet.

Davis: “We’ll find enough that we’ll be able to run as a team, that’s a big goal, and some offseason work to get into better shape and get quicker.”

Dunkin finished 12th at this past weekend’s State Meet where she finished All-State for the third time in her career. Davis says Bruns and Weldon have aspirations to run at Fort Dodge next fall.
