With one of the youngest rosters she has ever had at Melcher-Dallas, Volleyball Coach Jesyke Nolte had to rely on her three seniors and even her younger players that were experienced. Nolte tells KNIA Sports she wanted her experienced players to stay positive and encourage the younger girls especially when things were not going well.

Nolte: “If you see your older girls playing down and getting frustrated that takes us down as well. I hope those girls can come back and be able to play next season.”

Nolte credits seniors Emma Heaberlin, Zoey Kirkpatrick, and Haley Hoch for their leadership. She adds her juniors Summer Karpan, Kasyn Reed, BrieAnna Remster were asked to lend leadership this year and hopes they will be ready to make the team theirs next season.
