After a 4-5 2021 season, Pleasantville’s football squad will bid farewell to eight seniors on their team.
Among the Trojan seniors graduating will be five All-District players including Bristol Huyck, Trevor Daggett, Larry Remster, Jacob Hiemstra, and Blayton Nilles. Other seniors graduating from Pleasantville include Kitt Lundy, Krishyon Grabovskis, and Kodis Rawlings. Lundy finished second on the team in tackles with 37. Coach Mack Jorth tells KNIA Sports that he will remember the positive attitude the seniors brought to the field.
“I think just how good of dudes they are. They are just a good group of guys. To weather the storm or ride the wave that we did this year as our season progressed. You gotta have guys at the forefront who are really willing to be those guys that hold us together to keep a good attitude and to keep coming to work with a good attitude and great perspective and great team-first mentality. Those guys being just the good guys, good teammates that they were, helped us to end the way we did and we’re appreciate of that and all of their efforts.”
With the senior class graduating, Jorth also says that he is excited for the young talent that is returning to the squad in 2022. The Trojans finished the season 4-5 overall with a 2-3 record in Class 1A District 6 Play.
