It was one of the greatest moments in Iowa High School Football History, and five years ago today, Pella Football neared the end of an incredible run.

Ryan Van Wyk caught a pass as time expired from Nick Finney for the 2016 Dutch at the UNI Dome to topple Xavier in the 3A semifinals in comeback fashion. The win was the 40th in a row for the Pella program and ultimately pushed them into a third consecutive, undefeated state championship victory (more highlights below).
